Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge & Make It Monday Challenge #3

So February's Challenge is focused on scallops! I have some scallop stamps, and some scallop scissors but I decided to go with this adorable scallop ribbon I found. It is subtle but it is scalloped.

In an effort to make the most of my time, a scor tape glitter strip is also included in this card for the Make It Monday Challenge #3. The glitter stripe is hard to see in the first photo, so I tried again with this one.

The June PTI Blog Hop Challenge is COLOR! Since it is summer and pretty hot right now, I have been going with bright and happy. To reflect this my favorite color combo of the moment is LEMON TART, PURE POPPY, and STAMPER'S SELECT WHITE.

For an added pop of color, I colored rainbows on the windows and packed a crystal prism inside as the housewarming gift. Hopefully they will be able to enjoy many real rainbows in their windows!

Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

Hello! The challenge for this month was to demonstrate techniques we have learned from someone else whether online or in person.

My card for this month's blog hop is inspired by a few different techniques and a couple of crafters.

The first two techniques I used involved altering ribbon. The sentiment was stamped on twill ribbon and the silk ribbon was colored with Copic markers to get a custom color. These I learned on Nicole Heady's blog. The final inspiration was the felt flower which was inspired by an image in Dawn McVey's Color Couture Volume 3. Here is a close-up:

Office supplies are so addictive that I rarely let myself shop for them, so I particularly enjoyed preparing for this challenge! Binder clips are my favorite but I really needed something mailable So here is my attempt to incorporate a few mail friendly office supplies.

The April Papertrey Ink Blog Hop challenge was to incorporate tissue paper into our projects. My first attempt was less than stellar so I gave it a second whirl and was much more pleased with the results! The intent of the first card is a masculine congratulations on earning your PhD. I was trying to create an award ribbon with the tissue paper.

My second attempt is a Get Well card. I might have cheated a bit by using a cellophane tissue paper for the butterfly insert but I thought it turned out nice.
